SHIPPING & RETURNS


At Eves & Samuel, every piece is handled with great care. We use trusted couriers who specialise in antiques and vintage furniture, to ensure your item arrives safely and in the condition it leaves our showroom.

UK DELIVERY
•⁠  ā Delivery is arranged using specialist furniture couriers or reputable parcel carriers.
•⁠  ā Delivery charges vary depending on the size, weight, fragility and destination of the item.
•⁠  ā We will confirm the delivery cost with you before dispatch.
•⁠  ā Smaller decorative pieces are shipped via tracked parcel services.
•⁠  ā Furniture deliveries are handled by experienced teams and may require a two-person delivery for larger items.

Typical delivery time is 5–10 working days, depending on courier scheduling and your location.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
We are happy to ship internationally. To receive a quote, please provide:
•⁠  ā Your full delivery address
•⁠  ā The item(s) you wish to purchase
•⁠  ā Any relevant access notes (stairs, narrow entrance, etc.)

All international orders are sent using reliable, fully tracked services.

RECEIVING YOUR DELIVERY
•⁠  ā Please inspect your item as soon as it arrives.
•⁠  ā In the rare event that an item arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours and provide photographs so that we can resolve the matter promptly.

STORAGE
If you are unable to receive your item immediately, we can hold purchases for a short period by prior arrangement.
Please note: items stored for four weeks or more after purchase are not eligible for return.

RETURNS POLICY


We comply fully with U.K. Distance Selling Regulations and want you to feel confident when purchasing from Eves & Samuel.

HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN
If you wish to return an item, please notify us by email within 48 hours of receiving your order.
All returns must be requested and approved before the item is sent back to us.

RETURN ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for a return:
•⁠  ā The item must be unused and in the same condition in which it was received.
•⁠  ā It should be returned in its original packaging, where applicable.
•⁠  ā The return must reach us within 14 days of delivery.
•⁠  ā Items that have been held or stored for four weeks or more after purchase are not eligible for return.

RETURN SHIPPING
•⁠  ā The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping.
•⁠  ā All returns must be sent using a reputable courier, suitably packaged.
•⁠  ā The item must arrive back with us in the same condition it left our showroom.

REFUNDS
•⁠  ā Any refund issued will cover the cost of the item only.
•⁠  ā Original packing and delivery costs are non-refundable, unless the item is found to be faulty.
•⁠  ā If the item is faulty, return delivery costs will be reimbursed.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm that we have received the item and to advise whether your refund has been approved or rejected. If approved, your refund will then be processed.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms are designed to keep things clear and fair for both you and us.
   1.    PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
We take care to describe each piece accurately, including dimensions, materials, age (where known) and condition. Please remember that vintage and antique items will usually show signs of age and wear – this is part of their character and appeal.
   2.    PAYMENT
Payment is required in full before an item is dispatched or collected.
   3.    RESERVING ITEMS
We may agree to reserve an item for you by prior arrangement. If a deposit is taken, it is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
   4.    CONDITION OF VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE ITEMS
Signs of wear consistent with age and use are normal for antique and vintage items. Any notable condition issues will be shown in photographs and described in the listing to the best of our knowledge.
   5.    DELIVERY AND ACCESS
It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that items will fit through all access points, including doors, hallways, staircases, lifts and gates.
If a courier is unable to deliver due to access restrictions, any additional costs or return costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.
   6.    STORAGE
Items stored for more than four weeks after purchase are not eligible for return.
   7.    CANCELLATIONS
Orders cannot be cancelled once an item has been dispatched.

CAN I RETURN AN ITEM?
Yes, returns are possible under our Returns Policy. You must contact us by email within 48 hours of receiving the item and returns must be approved in advance. The item must be unused, in the same condition as received, and returned within 14 days.

CAN YOU STORE AN ITEM FOR ME?

CAN I VIEW AN ITEM BEFORE BUYING?
Yes. Viewings can often be arranged by appointment. Please contact us if you would like to visit the showroom.

We work with professional couriers who are used to handling antiques and vintage furniture.

•⁠  ā Once the courier has collected your item, they will contact you directly to arrange delivery.
•⁠  ā You will usually be given a delivery window (often a 2–4 hour time slot).
•⁠  ā It is important that someone is available at the address during this time.
•⁠  ā For larger or heavier items, please let us know in advance if help will be required at your end to carry the piece inside.
•⁠  ā Please check the item on arrival and let us know within 48 hours if there are any issues.
