A characterful vintage brass fire extinguisher by Read & Campbell Ltd, with a cylindrical body, domed top and original T-bar plunger handle. The embossed panel retains its maker’s details, registration number and operating instructions. The aged brass has an attractive, well-developed patina.

Condition:
The brass body has an aged, tarnished patina with surface scratches, scuffs and patches of verdigris, particularly around the neck and fittings. The embossed maker’s plaque and instructions remain largely legible, with some wear and discolouration. The T-bar handle and plunger are present. No obvious major dents or breaks are visible in the photographs.
The extinguisher has been professionally emptied and decommissioned, as advised. Its mechanism has not been tested; it is offered for decorative use only.
