A beautifully proportioned Victorian armchair with an elegant high back and softly shaped silhouette, dating to the mid-19th century. The frame is crafted in solid mahogany with a rich, warm tone and gently curved arms terminating in scroll details, raised on turned front legs with original brass castors.
The chair retains its existing upholstery in a decorative woven fabric, giving it a comfortable, inviting feel. It is perfectly usable as it is, though it would also respond very well to reupholstery for a more contemporary scheme if desired.
A particularly good scale — generous without being oversized — making it ideal for a sitting room, bedroom or reading corner.

Structurally sound and comfortable. Upholstery is later and shows light, age-appropriate wear. Frame in good order with minor marks consistent with age.
