A substantial solid pine farmhouse dining table of generous proportions, with a wonderfully warm colour and classic country-house character.
The large rectangular top is constructed from broad pine boards, displaying attractive natural grain, knots and variations throughout the timber. The top has gently rounded corners and edges and sits above a deep apron with moulded detailing.
Raised on four well-turned legs, the table has a pleasing simplicity and solidity typical of traditional farmhouse furniture. The warm, mellow finish particularly highlights the grain and character of the pine.
At 213 cm long and 88 cm wide, this is an excellent family dining table and will comfortably seat eight people.
A handsome and practical piece that would work equally well in a country kitchen, dining room or more contemporary interior.
Condition:
In good, solid and sturdy condition. The table has been cleaned and refinished, retaining an attractive warm patina and the natural character of the pine.
There are minor marks, scratches, knocks and areas of wear to the top, edges, apron and legs, commensurate with age and previous use. Natural knots, grain variations and imperfections are present throughout the timber and form part of its character.
