A set of six large architectural drawings, c. 1915, by Pauline Chamberlain in pen and ink. Each drawing is signed and framed, with the frames being solid and in generally good condition. The mounts feature ‘washlines,’ delicate decorative lines typically created with watercolor, ink, or other mediums, which enhance the artwork and provide a refined presentation.

The six drawings in this collection are: Tent and Base, Greek Doric, Erechtheum, Corinthian, Tuscan Order, and Roman Ionic.

Pauline Chamberlain, born in California in 1894 and passing away in 1957, was a remarkable individual with deep family roots in the U.S. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, beginning in 1912, where she became one of the first women to graduate with an Architectural Degree. It was during her studies, around 1915, that these exceptional drawings were created.

These works have remained in the same family since their creation, preserving both their artistic and historical value.
