Pair of Large Cast Brass Chinoiserie Revival Table Lamps

A striking and substantial pair of cast brass table lamps, modelled on archaic Chinese ritual vessels with raised relief decoration and applied ring handles.

The bodies feature stylised mask motifs within geometric panels, finished in a rich dark patination which has naturally rubbed back in places to reveal the warm yellow brass beneath. They are solid, heavy castings with excellent decorative presence.

Recently professionally rewired and fully PAT tested, they are ready for immediate use.

Condition

Overall very good decorative condition.

There have been a few historic repairs, as shown clearly in the photographs. These are stable, cosmetic in nature and do not affect the structure, stability or functionality of the lamps. They are reflected in the pricing.
Light surface wear and variation to the patinated finish consistent with age and use.

Ideal for country house, chinoiserie or Hollywood Regency interiors. They work beautifully flanking a console, chest or bedside and have real presence due to their scale and weight.
