Pair of Decorative Pears Soap Pine Wall Display Shelves
A charming and highly decorative pair of vintage-style pine wall display shelves, each surmounted with the iconic “Pears Soap” carved pediment.
Constructed in solid pine with panelled backs, moulded cornices and fluted side details, these shelves were likely produced as decorative shop fittings or country-house display pieces in the late 20th century. Their warm honey-toned finish and classic advertising aesthetic make them wonderfully suited to traditional interiors, particularly bathrooms, utility rooms, pantries, boot rooms or vintage-inspired retail spaces.
The carved “Pears Soap” lettering references the famous English soap company established in the 18th century and gives the pair a nostalgic apothecary feel.
Each shelf offers three useful display tiers and can be wall mounted. The reverse retains handwritten workshop measurements and later construction details consistent with bespoke decorative cabinetry.
