A striking pair of Louis XV style giltwood mirrors, dating to the late 19th to early 20th century, richly carved with scrolling acanthus leaves, floral detailing and elegant pierced cresting.

Beautifully proportioned with softly arched plates, these mirrors have a strong decorative presence while remaining practical in scale. The gilded finish has developed a warm, mellow patina, with light wear consistent with age, enhancing their character and authenticity.

The frames display confident carving with good depth and movement, giving them a refined and sophisticated look well suited to both classic and contemporary interiors.

The mirrors have later backboards and plates, as is commonly found, and are structurally sound and ready to hang.

A highly versatile and decorative pair, ideal for flanking a fireplace, hallway, or bedroom setting.
