A superb pair of antique bentwood bar stools by Thonet, dating from the early 20th century. Beautifully crafted from steam-bent beech, they display the elegant curves and exceptional craftsmanship for which Thonet is renowned.
The stools have been professionally reupholstered in rich oxblood red leather, complementing the warm honey-coloured timber beautifully. The frames retain an attractive original patina with light age-related wear to the seat rails, adding character and authenticity while remaining strong, sturdy and perfectly usable.
Featuring the iconic circular bentwood footrests and graceful curved supports, these stools are both sculptural and practical. They would look equally at home at a kitchen island, breakfast bar, home bar or in a commercial interior.
