A handsome late Victorian wardrobe of excellent quality, crafted in solid oak with beautiful burr walnut veneered panels to the doors and drawer fronts. The moulded cornice and plinth base give it a well-proportioned, architectural presence.
The twin doors open to reveal a spacious hanging compartment with a brass rail, interior hooks, and original pine backboards. Below sit three deep drawers with dovetail construction and their original cast brass handles.
The warm patina of the walnut veneer contrasts beautifully with the paler oak framework, showcasing the fine craftsmanship typical of the late 19th century. A practical and decorative piece that would suit both period and country house interiors.
