A beautifully made late 20th century solid mahogany dressing table mirror by Welsh maker Frenni SMF of Crymych, Dyfed.
Crafted in the Georgian revival taste, the mirror features an elegant oval swing plate set within a finely moulded mahogany frame, supported on a turned central upright above a shaped and stepped tripod-style base. The rich mahogany timber displays particularly attractive figuring and warm colour throughout.
The mirror retains its original adjustable brass mechanism to the reverse, allowing the plate to be angled as desired, and bears the original maker’s label beneath:
“Solid Mahogany Furniture by Frenni SMF, Crymych, Dyfed”.
A refined and versatile decorative piece, ideal for use on a dressing table, chest of drawers, desk or bathroom vanity. The restrained classical proportions and quality craftsmanship make it equally suitable for traditional and contemporary interiors.
