An interesting early C19th low chair made of solid oak and marked with W. Gordon underneath. We believe this could refer to the well-respected furniture and cabinet maker William Gordon, active in London from 1803-1 furniture maker who flourished 1803-1837, as the piece is certainly contemporary with that period. It has had some restoration to the leg but otherwise in original condition. Upholstery is in good condition but if the purchaser is interested we would be happy to quote for reupholstery.
Property of a Wiltshire House.
