 A substantial and beautifully figured solid burr walnut charger of impressive scale.
Expertly turned from a single piece of richly grained walnut, this piece displays exceptional natural burr figuring ,tightly clustered “eyes”, swirling grain movement and deep chocolate inclusions set against warm honey-brown tones. The figuring continues across the underside, confirming solid construction rather than veneer
.At 44 cm in diameter, this is a true statement piece. Its shallow, generous proportions make it ideal as a dramatic centrepiece on a dining table, kitchen island or console. Equally striking displayed flat or slightly elevated.
The weight and density reflect the quality of the timber used. The natural burr voids and inclusions are inherent to the material and form part of its character.
Condition:
Very good decorative condition. Minor natural burr inclusions and small edge irregularities consistent with the material and hand-turned manufacture. No structural issues.
