A striking pair of late Victorian cast-iron and brass andirons in the Aesthetic Movement style with early Art Nouveau influence. Each piece features a beautifully domed, gadrooned brass finial, textured cast-iron uprights and finely worked brass floral appliqués to the lower panels. The ironwork has a strong geometric Victorian profile, softened by the fluid botanical detailing, a handsome interplay of structure and ornament.

Decorative, weighty and full of character, they present beautifully. One small decorative brass leaf is missing from a lower panel, visible only on close inspection and not affecting use or overall appearance.
