  • A sweet Herend porcelain figurine of a turtle painted in Vieux Herend (VH) Red Rust Fish scale design. The first figurine of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory decorated with a feather-like scaled design was made in 1871. Back then, the famous Hungarian writer Mór Jókai received a rooster with this pattern. The scaled pattern soon became known worldwide as Herend’s specialty. A variety of different animal figurines became sought after collectors’ pieces.
