A decorative hand-engraved Indian brass tray of scalloped form, richly decorated with a central seated figure surrounded by attendants, floral motifs and scrolling foliage.
The tray is beautifully chased throughout with traditional Indian decorative motifs and retains a warm aged patina acquired through years of use. Its generous size makes it ideal as a drinks tray, coffee table centrepiece or decorative wall display.
Dating from the mid-20th century, the tray is both practical and highly decorative, reflecting the craftsmanship of traditional Indian metalwork.
