James Dixon & Sons Art Deco Style Silver-Plated & Etched Glass Cocktail Shaker
England, 1976
A striking and beautifully made James Dixon & Sons cocktail shaker, crafted in England and dating to 1976, in the classic Art Deco manner.
The shaker features a finely etched glass body decorated with a proud cockerel motif, paired with a silver-plated collar, domed lid and integrated strainer top. The proportions are elegant and substantial, making it both decorative and entirely practical.
James Dixon & Sons were one of Sheffield’s most respected silversmithing firms, renowned for the quality of their silver plate. This example is a later 20th-century piece inspired by the clean lines and glamour of 1930s barware.
In very good vintage condition, with strong plating and crisp etched detail.
