A charming and highly collectible Herend handpainted porcelain owl figure, model 5103/VHY, beautifully decorated in the iconic Vieux Herend fishnet pattern in soft green tones with vibrant cobalt blue and pink wings.
Perched elegantly upon a stylised tree branch base with scrolling pink and green decoration, the owl has a wonderfully whimsical and decorative quality typical of Herend’s celebrated animal figures. The fine handpainted detailing, delicate brushwork and gilt highlights to the beak and claws demonstrate the exceptional craftsmanship for which Herend is renowned.
The underside bears the Herend Handpainted factory mark together with the impressed model number 5103 and painted date notation for 1994.
