A charming hand-painted faience tea caddy with a removable lid, decorated in vibrant Delft-style floral motifs in cobalt blue, ochre yellow, green, and orange. The rectangular form with scalloped sides and floral cartouches evokes C18th Dutch and French faience, likely produced in France (Desvres or Nevers) around 1900.
 
Both lid and base bear blue painted marks, and the piece retains its glossy tin glaze with gentle age crackle. There is an old restoration to the lid. A decorative and colourful piece of antique faience pottery.
