A striking long, narrow low table in solid mahogany (often described as teak in colonial pieces), the top deeply carved with twin Kelpies supporting a central shield amid scrolling foliage, an Arts & Crafts/Gothic Revival design typical of Anglo-Indian workshops, c.1920-40. The shaped trestle ends are joined by a central stretcher, giving the piece both stability and presence. The timber has a lovely warm colour and character.
Ideal as a low coffee table, fireside bench, or display plinth for books and objects.
