A beautifully hand-carved Italian marble vase, carved from a single block of stone and displaying elegant natural veining in pale grey, warm taupe and soft caramel tones. From the caves of Afghanistan this beautifully crafted marble Jar was first turned on the lathe then carved into a traditional started vessel. Inspired by a clacassist in the Middle East who had a great respect for the influence that Alexander thr Great on the whole area reaching as far as India.
 
Very good condition, with light surface variations consistent with the nature of marble and age.
