  • A late C19th Memento Mori in the form of a parian tile depicting an angel taking a sleeping child to heaven. These were particuarly common during the Victorian period, but persisted right up to WWI when infant mortality was high. Despite today's more masculine associations, blue was the colour of girls in the Victorian period.

The tile is presented in a lovely modern frame of black and gold that sets of the pale blue perfectly.
