A beautifully made early 20th-century folding artist’s easel, constructed from mahogany-toned hardwood with brass fittings.
The tripod design incorporates three individually extending telescopic legs, an adjustable central mast and movable picture supports, allowing it to accommodate artwork of varying sizes. It folds down neatly and is secured with a new leather retaining strap, making it easy to transport or store.
Full of character, with genuine paint marks and wear from years of artistic use. It would make a practical working easel or a wonderfully decorative stand for displaying a favourite painting.
Condition:
In good vintage condition and working order. There are paint splashes, surface marks, scratches, rubbing and wear to the wood consistent with age and use. The brass fittings have developed an aged patina. The leather retaining strap is a new replacement. Please refer to the photographs for further details.
