The frame displays the soft, flowing grain and rich tonal variation characteristic of walnut, with gently shaped supports and a subtly scalloped apron that give the piece quiet elegance.
The timber has a wonderful warmth and depth that pairs beautifully with the velvet upholstery.The seat has been professionally reupholstered in a deep teal GP & J Baker velvet.
The natural pile of the velvet creates tonal variation depending on the direction of light, giving the surface depth and movement, a hallmark of high-quality cotton velvet.
