A beautifully hand-carved oak table lamp base, featuring bold foliate decoration and a strong, sculptural form. The carving has a confident, almost naïve quality that gives the piece real character, with deep relief work that catches the light wonderfully.

This example is attributed to Sir Charles Clee (1893–1980), a Cambridge-born craftsman who turned to wood carving later in life, producing a series of individually carved pieces. While not signed, this lamp was previously sold as his work and is entirely consistent with that tradition of personal, hand-worked carving.

The warm tone of the oak and the tactile surface give it a timeless, decorative appeal—equally suited to a traditional or more eclectic interior.

Rewired and PAT tested, ready for use.
