An attractive oil on board painting by Arthur Nielsen (Danish, 1883-1946), entitled "River Landscape"
 
He studied and traveled in Germany, Austria and Italy and was a co-founder of the Association of the Deer Park artists in 1913. Nielsen is known for his beautiful paintings of Danish landscapes. His paintings are beautiful examples of an artist masterful with the depcition of seasonal light and colour, as can clearly be seen in this work.
