A classic English stoneware bottle by Covancroft Pottery, Derby, dating to the early 20th century.

This example has a beautifully simple, understated form with a softly tapering shoulder and traditional pouring lip. Finished in a pale cream glaze, it has a more utilitarian aesthetic compared to the two-tone jugs, giving it a very clean, almost architectural look.

The impressed “Covancroft – London Pottery – Near Derby” mark is visible to the lower body.

A lovely standalone piece or ideal as part of a grouped collection of antique stoneware.
