An antique Chinese elm stool dating to the late Qing dynasty / early 20th century, featuring a beautifully worn scalloped seat above a hand-carved pierced apron with scrolling and floral detail.
The stool stands on cylindrical legs united by simple stretchers, with rich colour and surface patination developed through decades of use. The elm top displays deep grain movement and honest wear, giving the piece strong character and authenticity.
