A beautifully observed still life by British painter Anne Wright RBA, titled “Birthday Bouquet” on the artist’s label to the reverse. A cut-glass bowl of apples and citrus fruit sits on a lace-covered table beside a patterned jug filled with a rich arrangement of garden flowers. Wright’s characteristic use of clear light, subtle colour transitions and finely described textures gives the painting a calm, intimate atmosphere.
 
Anne Wright (1935–2025) trained at Nottingham College of Art and the Royal Academy Schools, later becoming a long-standing member of the Royal Society of British Artists. She exhibited regularly in London, and her still lifes, interiors and Mediterranean views are widely collected. This example is in very good, clean condition and ready to hang, with only minor rubbing to the frame. The work is labelled to the reverse; the front may be unsigned beneath the frame edge.
