An interesting piece that we believe to be an apprentice copy of a Chippendale original. Made in richly toned satinwood and set upon beautifully articulated ball and claw feet. The upper section features eight small drawers with elegant brass knobs, while a central cupboard with an inlaid door adds a refined focal point. The shaped top features a carved rope moulding. A subtle but skilful touch that speaks to the quality of the workmanship, with very fine detailing throughout. An interesting and unusual piece.
