A fine pair of late Victorian Newcastle mallet-form decanters, dating to around 1880. Each retains its original, well-fitted stopper, and both feature the elegant ribbed silhouette typical of 19th-century English mould-blown glass.

The clarity and weight are excellent, and the pair display beautifully — whether styled on a drinks tray, kitchen shelf or sideboard. Condition is very good for their age, with only one small chip noted and photographed for accuracy.

A decorative and practical addition to any interior, and increasingly hard to find as matching pairs.

Dimensions (each):

• Height to rim: 25 cm

• Height with stopper: 35 cm
