A charming pair of Louis XV style bedside tables dating from the early 20th century, beautifully crafted in walnut and richly decorated with intricate floral marquetry in contrasting fruitwoods.
Each table is fitted with two drawers with ornate gilt metal handles, while the sides are mounted with decorative ormolu mounts. The tables stand on elegant slender cabriole legs terminating in ormolu sabots, giving them a refined and graceful silhouette.
The tops are surmounted by striking Brèche Violette marble slabs, displaying beautiful lilac, mauve and cream brecciated tones that complement the warm walnut veneers wonderfully. One marble top has undergone a careful professional restoration which is now almost undetectable.
A decorative and elegant pair, ideal as bedside tables or equally attractive as small occasional tables in a bedroom or dressing room.
