A Mid-Century Alpine hand-carved (pyrographed) pine coffee table, most likely from Austria or Switzerland, c. 1950–1970. The wood, likely pine or spruce, was locally sourced — softwoods favoured for their even grain and suitability for carving and pyrography. The natural edge and visible knots were deliberately retained, lending the piece its authentic rustic charm.
