A charming matched pair of early 20th-century Continental bentwood café chairs in the Thonet tradition, featuring beautifully pressed Art Nouveau shell-motif seats and elegant continuous loop backs. Classic, lightweight and sculptural, they display the warm patina that only genuine period bentwood acquires. On one chair you can still see the ghost of the original maker’s paper label on the underside, a reassuring indication of early manufacture.
