A lovely 19th century French piano stool of elegant proportions, raised on beautifully shaped cabriole legs with finely carved acanthus leaf shoulders. The stool retains a charming, refined silhouette typical of the Louis XV revival taste so popular in late 19th century French furniture.
The upholstered hinged seat lifts to reveal useful internal storage, ideal for sheet music or sewing accessories. The lid opens smoothly and the hinges are in good working order. Recently upholstered in a smart blue patterned fabric which contrasts beautifully with the warm tone of the wood.
