  • This is a C19th oak, mahogany and pine gothic-style library bookcase, fitted with 6 drawers all with original brass fittings and locks, and surmounted by a very smart castellated top. The piece is made by Hobbs and co., London. Alfred Hobbs began making furniture in Cheapside, London, in 1860 before later relocating to Boston, USA where he continued to make a name for himself as a high quality craftsman.
