A wonderfully authentic C19th brass ladle with a long hand-forged iron handle, full of rustic character and charm. The bowl is hand-raised from solid brass, showing beautiful hammering and turning marks, and finished with a small traditional pouring lip. The iron handle is forged in one piece with a punched hanging loop and original riveted attachment.
The piece has a rich, naturally aged patina and surface wear consistent with C19th use, giving it a warm, time-worn presence.
It makes a striking decorative accent for a farmhouse kitchen, hung on a pot rack, or styled alongside antique copper pans. A charming, honest example of early handmade domestic metalwork.
