Local to the South West himself, Stephens has captured something truly lovely in this painterly study of the streets of Bath. Showing clear influence from the French Impressionists of the nineteeth century, the addition of the 'Stop' sign at the right of the foreground suddenly reminds the viewer that this is in fact a modern scene of a timeless city.
